ENF & Rotary Club of Amman CAPITAL Conclude 10-month Leadership Program
Amman, March 2016 – The Elia Nuqul Foundation (ENF) has concluded its iLead program, launched 10 months ago with the support of Rotary Club of Amman CAPITAL and implemented by Ripple. iLead aimed to provide scholars with leadership skills that will ultimately serve them as they enter the job market.
The closing session was attended by Mr. Ghassan Nuqul, Chairman of ENF Board, as well as representatives from the Rotary Club of Amman CAPITAL and Ripple trainers, in addition to the participating ENF scholars and graduates.
The program included interactive training sessions focusing on providing students with tools and skills needed to start their own projects, primarily aiming at serving their communities.
Working in groups, the scholars developed their projects which went through a number of stages: from concept through to implementation plans. Three finalists were presented to a panel of judges, who gave scholars advice and guidance to enable them to set their projects in motion and achieve maximum benefit
Mr. Ghassan Nuqul emphasized the importance of this program due to its role in enhancing scholars’ life and practical skills.
"The exchange of experience among current and graduate scholars has been instrumental to our program, enhancing its results and outcomes,” he added.
The President of Rotary Club of Amman CAPITAL, Eng. Mohammed Al Khayyat, spoke about Rotary’s role in supporting local initiatives, developing promising leaders, and instilling the value of community service in Jordanian youth, towards building a healthy community.
A number of scholars highlighted the positive impact the program had on them both personally and professionally, as it underscored the importance of community service and social entrepreneurship, as well as helping them to face challenges and find the best ways to overcome them.
